Today, we celebrate the Feast of Ascension as we remember Jesus’ return to his heavenly Father. Jesus’ Ascension to heaven was part of God’s divine plan and served as the culmination of the work of salvation that he completed here on Earth. Jesus’ Ascension also fulfilled Daniel’s prophetic vision of the Son of Man returning to God, the “Ancient of Days”. Jesus has returned to his Father in Heaven and now reigns at his right hand. Where he continues to care for us, watch over us and intercede on our behalf as our High Priest.
