Worship Service Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Today’s sermon focuses on the question: Who do you trust? In Matthew 6:25, Jesus reminds us not to be anxious about our lives or material needs. As followers of Christ, we have a calling to share the Gospel, even when we are faced with opposition or push back.
We take a look at miraculous story of Cartier McDaniel—a testament to faith and divine intervention. After suffering a severe medical crisis that put him in cardiac arrest, Cartier and his family learned firsthand what it means to trust God completely. His parents prayed fervently, believing in God’s power and love. Their unwavering faith led to a miraculous outcome— Cartier’s heart began beating again after 14 hours.
As we focus on trust today, we are reminded of biblical examples like Abraham and the early apostles, who demonstrated unwavering faith in God’s promises. Our journey of trust is not just about believing in God during good times; it’s about leaning on Him through every trial and tribulation.
In Proverbs 3:5, we are reminded to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” This is a call to surrender our worries and acknowledge His sovereignty in our lives. As we navigate our faith, let us remember that true trust in God will reveal His purpose for us, even when we cannot see it ourselves.
Join us as we learn what it means to trust God wholeheartedly—through every challenge and every triumph. Together, we can strengthen our faith and encourage one another in our walk with Christ.
