Today, as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and think about sayings such as the “Luck of the Irish,” we might be tempted to think that the good and bad things in our lives are a result of “luck.” The Bible tells us that God controls everything. Everything happens because God wills it to be. As Christians, we know God is looking out for us, so we don’t need luck. Instead of saying “good luck,” we should say “God bless you” to remind each other that everything good in our lives comes from God’s blessings, not luck.
