Advent marks the first day of the Christian Calendar. It is the first day of the church year. It is a period of Preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Advent is a very special time of the year that can often get lost in the lights of the Christmas Season which precedes it. Advent should be all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and minds as well as our homes for Christ’s celebrated birth.
How are we preparing for the time before Christmas? What is our hope? Our hope is in the inheritance God has given us regardless of our circumstances.
